From Portland to Los Angeles on Amtrak's Coast Starlight

The joys of slow travel

The southbound Coast Starlight runs from Seattle to LA, but I opted to catch it from Portland. As I settled into my cozy roomette, I was looking forward to the breathtaking scenery that lay ahead on this 30 hour journey.
